Ruth Mohr

With broken hearts, the family of Ruth Mohr announce her passing on December 26, 2023, at the Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre. She was born on August 5, 1937, in Easyford, Alberta to Fred and Bernice Chipchase.

Ruth had a simple and loving personality. She cherished her family above all else, finding immense joy in being with her loved ones. Her beloved dog was also a dear companion to her, bringing her comfort and happiness throughout the years.

In her free time, Ruth indulged in various hobbies and interests. Gardening was one of her passions—she had a green thumb and took great pleasure in nurturing plants and flowers. The beauty she cultivated in her garden was a reflection of the love she cultivated within her family. Crossword puzzles challenged and entertained her sharp mind, while reading allowed her to explore different worlds without leaving the comfort of home. Ruth also enjoyed watching DVD series', immersing herself in captivating stories.

Ruth was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Bernice Chipchase; her son, Phil Mohr; her brothers, Don and Hoarce Chipchase; and sister, Freda Resler. She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Mohr; their children, Deb(Fred) Tuftin, Randy(Peggy) Mohr, Lorelei Mohr(Don McLean), and Denise Mohr; sister, Elanor Moore; brother, Charles Chipchase; along with many other relatives and friends.

Throughout her life, Ruth brought love and joy to those around her. She will be remembered for her kind heart, love of laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family. May she rest in peace knowing that she left a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Ruth's family wishes to express thanks to the EMT's and nursing staff at the Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre for the kindness and compassion shown to Ruth.
