Mike Bush

It is with heart wrenching pain and profound sadness we announce the passing of Michael Bush at the young age of 45 years .
Michael, Mike or even Bush as he became to be known by, was born in Drayton Valley Alberta on December 11, 1977, to Myrnitta and Bernie. They brought their little bundle of joy home to meet his already born sister, Kelly. He lived with his family of four until the age of four when his parents divorced, and we moved into a duplex as a now family of three.

About one year later Joseph George came to live with us, shortly after that he married Myrnitta and then welcomed a new sister Charmaine to the family. We all then moved to Berrymoor into a 1975 single wide trailer that had bright red carpets. It did not take long for Kelly and Michael to figure out that this place carried a lot of electricity because if we shuffled our feet, we could deliver a little shock to each other but if we ran and slid, we could deliver a giant zap to one another. After about another year of living there we welcomed our baby sister Shelley.

We all grew up in Berrymoor and were schooled in Lindale until grade 9 when we had to do high school at Frank Maddock High. It was about the middle of grade 10 when Mike decided school was not for him and free fun was better.

Mike had so many friends as he was extremely easy to be with, he had the best sense of humor, kindest heart, and fierce love for his family. He loved the outdoors and anything he could do outside he was game for. He was an adrenaline junky that did get him into trouble, a lot, a lot of trouble.

In 2005 he met Courtney and her daughter Mya; he fell in love and was an instant dad to little Mya; a few years later he welcomed his daughter Layla who he loved with his whole being.

 Mike was predeceased by his grandma, grandpa Cropley and Bush, Uncles Jimmy, and Bill Aunties Pat and Peggy, grandpa Barnett and his Father Bernie.

He is survived by his Mom, Myrnitta, Dad Joe, Sisters, Kelly (Derik), Charmaine (Brian), Shelley (Nathen), Daughters, Davina and Layla, stepdaughter, Mya, Nieces and Nephews, Gavin, Jayce, Grayson, Ashlynn, Hunter, and Alyvia. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a plethora of friends.

We all love you and will miss you terribly but will keep you alive by telling all your funny stories.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 7:30 pm at Drayton Memorial Celebration Centre.

A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held on Monday, May 29, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Drayton Memorial Celebration Centre.
