October 14, 1980 – December 12, 2022

We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Jeremy Darou on December 12, 2022, at the age of 42.

Jeremy spent most of his time working in the oilfield, however whenever he had free time he cherished being with his daughter, Kaitlyn. She was his world and he loved to take her shopping, go to the movies or just buying her flowers. Jeremy had a “green thumb” and enjoyed spending time in his yard propagating sunflowers, fruit trees and assorted colors of roses. Although he was an avid gamer, he still saw the splendor in the outdoors and loved to camp and fish and just spend time sitting around the campfire.

Jeremy will forever be loved and remembered by his daughter, Kaitlyn Darou and her siblings Michelle Otway and Dayton Clark. He will be missed by his separated spouse, Pamela Darou, his mother, Christine Darou (Brian Korth), and their children, Clayton Korth and Sonya (Allen) Bogart, as well as his father, James (Linda) Danchuk, brothers, Colin and Joey Danchuk, numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, family, and many friends. He will also be missed by his two companion kitties, Domino, and Snickers.

Jeremy was predeceased by his Grandparents Earl and Suzanne Darou, Great Grandparents, Earl and Fleda Darou and Sylvio and Elizabeth Clermont and Great Aunt Pearl Clermont.

Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the crew of CWC Rig #146; Jeremy’s family away from home.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 1:00 at

Drayton Memorial Celebration Centre, 5029 – 48 Street, Drayton Valley, AB.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
