Hannah Mastre

December 18, 1996 — April 17, 2025

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Hannah Rae Mastre on April 17, 2025. Hannah was the kind of girl who turned heads—radiantly beautiful, effortlessly graceful, the ultimate girly girl. But beneath the polished nails and perfect lashes was a fearless adventurer who loved getting dirt under those nails just as much. Whether she was out camping, hiking, or tearing through a field in a standard car, her spirit was wild, strong, and free. From the time she was a little girl, Hannah looked up to her big brother, often found right beside him on a dirt bike or learning how to maneuver through the field with grit and determination. Her curiosity led her to mechanics classes in high school, and her drive didn’t stop there—she completed all her safety training and certifications to work in the demanding worlds of oilfield and civil construction. Whatever she did, she did with her whole heart. She was a hard worker through and through, never afraid to get her hands dirty if it meant getting the job done right. But there was another side to her, too. She was a woman of balance—finding beauty in simplicity, preferring old over new, vintage over trendy. After graduating from the European Institute of Esthetics, she brought her love of wellness and beauty into the world, staying true to her values of living clean, eating well, and staying fit. She loved walks, runs, and hikes, always searching for the next trail, the next sunrise, the next adventure. Hannah loved long drives—windows down, music up, with no set destination. It wasn’t just about the road; it was about the feeling of movement, the joy of discovering new scenery, and the people she’d meet along the way. She lit up every room she entered but never shied away from her quiet time. She was both deeply social and deeply reflective. She had a heart for animals, especially dogs, and they loved her right back. Her loyal dog Rover was never far from her side. Hannah’s gentle, grounded nature made her a safe place—for people, for animals, for anyone lucky enough to be loved by her. She lived life with intention. With grit and grace. With strength and softness. She was a rare kind of soul—anchored in who she was, unapologetically herself, and always chasing the horizon. She will be missed beyond words, remembered beyond time, and loved beyond measure. Hannah is lovingly remembered by her father, Brent Mastre; her mother, Glena Mastre (Andrew Crawford); her brother, Tye Mastre (Bree); and her cherished nephew, Kane. She also leaves behind her bonus brothers, Colton Crawford and Austin Crawford (Kendra), and nephew, Jackson. Hannah will be deeply missed by her many uncles, aunts, cousins, and extended family.

Also mourning her loss is her loyal dog, Rover, who never left her side and was her constant companion through life’s highs and lows. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Joseph & Josephine Bartek and Morris & Ethel Mastre. In keeping with Hannah’s simple way of life, no formal service will be held. The family will gather privately at a later date to share stories, memories, and love in her honour. For those who wish to do so, memorial donations in Hannah’s name may be made directly to: Cause for Critters 5517 - 53 Avenue, Drayton Valley, Alberta.
