Fred Fryk, a quiet and reserved individual, was born on October 31, 1932, in St. Paul. He lived a life marked by simplicity and dedication, and he continued to touch the lives of many through his unwavering kindness and gentle spirit until he passed away on January 15, 2025, at the Drayton Valley Health Care Centre.
Fred was a treasured father and grandfather, leaving behind his loving daughter Linda Fryk and son Gene Fryk, accompanied by his daughter-in-law Erika. His legacy continues through his grandchildren Justin Fryk and Heather (Tyler) Kowalchuk, and he was proud of his six great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brother Leo Fryk and sister-in-law Joan, alongside numerous nieces and nephews who carry cherished memories of their time with him.
Fred was preceded in death by his beloved sister Annie and brothers Bill, Alex, Nick, Mike, Mervyn, Metro, Benny, and George, as well as his devoted parents, Dmytro and Pearl. They welcomed him into their fold once again, and he is remembered fondly by all who knew and loved him.
His quiet demeanor belied the deep love and commitment he had for his family, ensuring that his memory will live on in the hearts of those he cherished. Fred Fryk will be missed dearly, but his impact on the lives he touched will remain a lasting testament to a life well-lived.
