Donna Patricia James

Donna James, 87, passed away on February 19, 2023, at the Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Center. Donna was a loving mother and wife and a dedicated volunteer for many years at long term care. She was an avid Oilers fan and loved to garden. Her specialty was growing exceptional tomatoes and her greenhouse was a nice place to visit.
 
Donna is survived by her children, Bradley (Debra) James, Shelley (Roger) Ross, Barry James and Melanie James.  She also leaves to mourn, her grandchildren, Carole-Anne James, Cassie (Adam) Green, Kyle (Sherry) Ross, Tory(Allyson) Ross, Michelle Ross, Kolbi James, Kristi James, Kolten (Karin) James, Ella Guillet, Evan Guillet, and Alex Wenda. She also leaves great grand children Hunter, Harrison, Olivia and Lynden. She is also survived by her sister Sharon (George) Chrismann.

Donna is predeceased by her husband of 50 years,  Ken and her sister Edna Glasier and brother-in-law Edward Glasier.

The family would like to thank Dr. Van Dyke and the nursing staff at Drayton Valley Hospital Acute Care as well as the caring staff at Seasons. A special thank you to Maria Bals for all she has done.
 
Funeral Services for Donna will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 1:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4309 - 52 St, Drayton Valley, AB. followed by interment at the Rocky Rapids Cemetery.
